Description:
Zeck Skirted Jig (Brown) Action & Application
The Skirted Jig from Zeck adds extra appeal to classic rubber lures and is a versatile tool for perch, zander, pike and other predators. Even when stationary at the bottom of the water, the soft fringes play in the slightest water movement, creating fine micro-vibrations and light reflections that appeal even to passive fish. The increased water resistance of the skirt also slows down the sinking phase and keeps the bait in the crucial bite zone for longer.
Construction, hook & weed guard
The conical stand-up jig head glides cleanly through cover and, after sinking, settles stably on the bottom, where the bait continues to work with a slight rocking motion. A softly tuned weed guard reliably protects the hook tip from weeds and wood, but releases immediately when bitten a clear advantage over the stiff weed guards of many US or Japanese models. Extremely sharp and stable Mustad hooks with a dark, inconspicuous coating are used. A small wire barb on the hook shank securely fixes the trailer without damaging the rubber.
Skirt, colours & durability
The voluminous rubber skirt is highly elastic, durable and firmly anchored, so that it can easily withstand repeated bites and hard drills. Different colour variations allow for specific adaptation to water turbidity, light conditions and trailers either discreet tone-on-tone or as a striking contrast. The robust, inconspicuous head coating remains intact for a long time and ensures a permanently natural appearance.
