Mercer Sport Fillet Knife 7″

Description:

Mercer Sport brings their kitchen-grade German steel and culinary edge geometry to the fishing world. The Mercer Sport Fillet 7" is built for inshore and freshwater anglers cleaning fluke, sea bass, scup, schoolie striper, freshwater bass, perch, and trout. The shorter 7" blade has just enough flex to track over bones and skin without losing control the right size for medium-bodied fish where a 9" blade is overkill.

What makes it cut

• High-carbon German steel blade the same steel Mercer puts in their professional kitchen knives
• Ice hardened for increased blade strength and edge retention
• Mirror-polished finish for clean cut-and-release through skin and flesh
• 7" blade length with the right flex profile for inshore-size fish
• Neon orange textured grip non-slip in wet hands, easy to spot if you drop it in the kayak or on the dock
• Made by Mercer Culinary, the same brand chefs use behind the line

Best for

• Inshore filleting fluke, sea bass, scup, weakfish, schoolie striper
• Freshwater largemouth, smallmouth, perch, walleye, trout
• Anglers who want kitchen-quality steel without the kitchen-knife price

If you fish bigger species striper over 30", bluefish, larger tuna consider the longer 9" model for more reach through the fillet.
