Black Flying Ant Dry Fly

Description:

Black Flying Ant A deadly terrestrial pattern trout cant resist.

The Black Flying Ant is a must-have dry fly for late summer and early fall, when ants are blown onto the water in swarms. Its segmented black body and delicate wings create a perfect match for the natural insect, while its low-riding profile makes it an easy target for feeding trout. Simple, durable, and highly effective, this pattern produces explosive strikes during ant falls and also works as a general terrestrial imitation when fish are keyed in on small, dark insects. A proven confidence fly for rivers, creeks, and lakes, the Black Flying Ant deserves a spot in every anglers dry fly box.
