Description:
Looking for the ideal soft plastics rod to use in a variety of light and ultra-light applications? Here it is the Millerods GRUBFREAK another of Ians unique designs with a real competition-winning pedigree that delivers bona-fide high performance!
This rod is tuned for spinning with soft plastics and has the perfect length, action and power for longer casting, superior line control if fishing deep or shallow flats using either braid with mono leader or FC lines.
With ultra-light power and a classic Medium-Fast action, this blank is perfectly tuned to fish a variety of soft plastic cast and retrieve applications from unweighted to hidden-weight to 1/4oz jighead rigged plastics.
This rod has also proven itself as a blade rod if you prefer the softer touch to avoid pulling small treble hooks.
The GrubFreak performs perfectly with either mono (FC) or braid lines with mono leaders^. The KR guide train is a composite selection of Fujis titanium frames for corrosion resistance in semi-micro sizes. Ceramics are Fujis very best Torzite for smaller guides combined with the very latest SlimRing SiC ceramic in the larger guides.
The GrubFreak incorporates Ians Control Freak style handles, comprising Fuji SKSS reel seat over a blue carbon barrel, and custom-shaped x-firm EVA in the Millerods signature style blue Camoufish pattern, all finished with the M logo anti-skid butt cap.
^Millerods recommends the use of the FG knot for connecting braided fishing lines to monofilament leaders. All Ians lure casting guide trains are selected with this connecting knot in mind.
